Spring

By Josephine Asbury, March 1950

'Tis spring,
Birds wing
Their cheerful way;
They'll trill their praise
Of each new day.

Each tree
Feels free
To burst in bloom,
And fill the air
With sweet perfume.

The sheep
Will keep
A watchful eye,
On romping lambs
In fields near by.

This day
God's way
Is manifest.
Just do his will
And you'll be blest.
